TPS Lab can test soils, plants, waters, fertilizers and compost for these toxic metals and report them in parts per million (ppm).
Many metals are necessary nutrients for plants. Some such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium can be required in large quantities and are referred to as Major Nutrients.
Others, such as zinc, iron, copper, manganese and often silicon are required in very small quantities and are referred to as Micronutrients.
The Trace Elements, such as nickel, molybdenum, selenium, vanadium, cobalt, sodium and others are required by certain crops in trace amounts for a balanced diet, quality, resistance to disease and end-user health.
